Thermoanalysis Sensor Open Cup
The Single-Chamber Cup is a widely used sensor for the determination of carbon and silicon by means of thermal analysis at cast iron. It is suitable for the sampling of molten metals with a maximum pouring temperature of 1420°C until eutectic solidification occurs.
Through selective doting of the chamber with tellurium a metastable solidification can be effected. The tellurium fixation was optimized concerning the gas formation to improve not only work safety but also the repeatability of the measuring results.
The robust thermocouple can also be used with cast irons and higher cooling stress. The electrical contact is realized through a standard contact piece. The sensor is compatible with all common TA-measuring devices with thermocouple input Type: K
